Elevator Control Systems
Monarch NICE 3000+, Yaskawa L1000A, Monadrive MCK and Fujidrive control panels with ARD and group dispatch.
In short
An elevator control system is the controller cabinet and software that manages calls, drive commands, door operation, levelling and safety-chain monitoring. It integrates the VVVF drive, ARD emergency rescue, fireman's operation, group or destination dispatch, and optional IoT monitoring for predictive maintenance.
Engineering overview
The controller is the lift's decision layer: it reads landing and car calls, door-zone and levelling signals, load-weighing data and the safety chain, then commands the drive and door operator. Modern integrated controllers put the VVVF inverter, main board and safety relays in one cabinet, cutting wiring faults and shortening commissioning.
Liftech Global can work on and provide Monarch NICE 3000+ / NICE 1000 / NICE 5000, Yaskawa L1000A and A1000 lift inverters, Monadrive MCK200–MCK500 panels, Fujidrive FD/FDR units and Ziehl-Abegg ZAdyn4 regenerative drives, with serial car-top and landing boards that reduce the travelling cable to a handful of cores. Standard functions include full-collective selective operation, ARD rescue to the nearest landing on power loss, fireman's operation, earthquake and flood modes, load pre-torque and anti-nuisance call cancellation.
For multi-car lobbies, group control dispatches by estimated arrival time; destination-control adds lobby terminals that assign a car at the point of call, cutting average waiting time in busy towers. IoT gateways stream fault codes, door cycles and run counts for predictive maintenance under Liftech's AMC contracts.
Types & variants
Monarch NICE 3000+ (NICE3000new)
Integrated controller + VVVF drive for 0.25–4.0 m/s, up to 48 floors, closed-loop PMSM/induction control with SIN/COS, EnDat and UVW absolute encoders, on-board ARD interface, CANbus car-top and landing boards, and one-button motor auto-tuning.
Monarch NICE 1000 / NICE 900
Compact integrated drives for home lifts, dumbwaiters and low-rise duty — 3.7–15 kW, 0.25–1.75 m/s, distance-based direct-to-floor travel curve with S-shaped jerk limiting.
Monarch NICE 5000 / MCTC-MRL
High-rise and MRL platforms with duplex/group dispatch, load pre-torque via load-cell input, and BST shaft self-learning for ±1 mm levelling.
Yaskawa L1000A elevator drive
Dedicated lift inverter, 4–110 kW, 200 V/400 V class, open- and closed-loop PM control, rescue operation from battery/UPS, brake-sequence and rollback compensation, Safe Disable STO to IEC 61800-5-2.
Yaskawa A1000 / GA700 / iQpump-class general drives
General-purpose vector inverters used for escalator, dumbwaiter and hydraulic-pump duty where lift-specific sequencing is handled by an external controller.
Monadrive MCK series control panels
MCK200 / MCK200S / MCK300 / MCK450 / MCK500 integrated cabinets matched to MONA gearless machines — serial hoistway wiring, ARD-ready, 0.4–2.5 m/s.
Fujidrive FD / FDR series
FD240B, FD320, FDR320A and FDR400A integrated controller-drive units for MRL and machine-room lifts, 3.7–37 kW, with fireman's and earthquake modes.
Ziehl-Abegg ZAdyn4 / ZAdyn4C
European regenerative inverter that feeds braking energy back to the building supply, paired with ZAtop/ZAsyn gearless machines and ZAsbc brake control.
Arkel, Step, Thyssen-class retrofit controllers
Alternative integrated platforms (ARCODE, ADrive, Step AS380) used when matching an existing installed base during modernisation.
ARD emergency rescue device
Battery or supercapacitor unit that levels the car to the nearest floor at ≤ 0.3 m/s and opens the doors on power failure — essential under load-shedding.
Group control (2–8 cars)
Estimated-arrival-time dispatch across a bank with up-peak, down-peak and off-peak traffic modes.
Destination control
Lobby terminals assign a car at the point of call to cut waiting and journey time in high-traffic towers.
IoT monitoring gateway
Streams fault codes, run counts, door cycles and drive temperatures for predictive AMC dashboards.
