IoT Elevator Monitoring in Pakistan: What It Actually Delivers

Real-time telemetry, remote error logs and predictive maintenance from Liftech's custom Industrial IoT Smart Gateway.

What the gateway captures

Per-trip run counts, motor current, brake operations, door cycles, door re-open events, fault codes, controller position/velocity error and ride-quality vibration metrics — pushed securely over 4G cellular or LAN with TLS, cached locally for offline periods.

Why predictive maintenance matters

Trending brake current and door-close time predicts component fatigue weeks before failure — brake lining wear, door-drive belt slack, contactor pitting — letting the AMC team schedule intervention outside peak building hours. Field data shows a 35–55% reduction in unplanned breakdown calls in the first year of gateway deployment.

Where it works

Any Monarch NICE-series controller natively, and any standards-based controller via Modbus/CAN adapter. Liftech's gateway also runs an offline mode for shafts without connectivity, syncing via handheld USB/BLE on the next AMC visit.
